ARAI GPV-R

The ARAI GPV-R takes Arai’s distinctive design philosophy, based on a smooth, rounded shape, to a new level. Developed while retaining the characteristic Egg-Shaped Form (ESF) and with driver protection as a priority, every detail of the helmet has been designed to promote more efficient energy management in the event of an impact.

Its redesigned shell lowers the position of the visor pivot point, allowing the upper section of the helmet to be even smoother and more rounded. This geometry promotes better redistribution of impact energy and helps minimise, or even prevent, energy from penetrating into the helmet. The ESF philosophy also allows certain impact energies to be deflected and slide across the shell during an impact, reducing the amount of energy that may be transmitted to the helmet.

The new central visor locking system features positive locking and simple operation from either side of the helmet. A solution developed to provide quick and intuitive operation without compromising Arai’s focus on driver protection and performance.

Designed for the demands of motorsport competition, the ARAI GPV-R combines the evolution of its exterior geometry with functional systems aimed at providing a high level of protection and efficient energy management during impacts. The result is a helmet that retains Arai’s philosophy while taking it into a new generation of design and performance.
